Gomes Paula is a Portuguese who has decided to relocate to Nigeria and make Oyo her new home while serving in the royal court of the Alaafin of Oyo.

The Yoruba history and heritage which she had read in the pages of books while a very lady were what fascinated her and influenced her decision.
