Hillary Clinton took the lead in five key battleground states following the first presidential debate, giving her a solid boost with just over five weeks until Election Day, according to a poll released Thursday.

Voters in the five states — Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia — also declared Clinton the winner of the much-anticipated slug fest with Donald Trump, according to Public Policy Polling.

Female Pennsylvania police officer fired for writing racial slur on Snapchat while wearing police uniform

A female police officer in Pennsylvania, Melissa Adamson, has  lost her job after she posted a Snapchat selfie showing herself in uniform — and using a racial slur.

The snap showed Melissa , a part-time cop in McKeesport, wearing a uniform and sunglasses in a car, with the caption, “I’m the law today n---a.”  Once her bosses got wind of the snapchat photo, they fired her and she also resigned from another part-time police officer job in Versailles.

She called the photo “a stupid mistake” — and insisted she’s not a racist.

N600m fraud: Court grants ex Naval chief, Usman Jibrin, N100m bail

Justice A. S. Umar of the FCT High Court sitting in Maitama has granted bail to a former Chief of Naval Staff, Usman Jibrin, and two others who are currently standing trial for an offence bordering on criminal conspiracy brought against them by the EFCC. According to Abubakar Auta, the Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of his cousin, a soldier who had been missing for a year. He reportedly died on the frontline at Gudunbale area of Borno State.
