The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Lagos zone, yesterday evening, uncovered yet another large sum of suspected laundered money to the tune of N448,850,000 (Four hundred and forty eight million, eight hundred and fifty thousand naira) hidden in a shop at LEGICO Shopping Plaza, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

63 year old amputee grandmother, Barbara Dransfield, was left in a coma after two masked men, later identified as Stephen Morton and Nathan Clark savagely beat her up and caged her in her home in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, UK, over her son’s £100 cannabis debt. The two men reportedly burst into the home late at night looking for the woman's son who wasn't home.

JAMB Suspends 2017 UTME Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in Abuja on Friday announced the suspension of registration for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for 52 hours. 

The decision was aimed at preventing any disruption during the conduct of the UTME mock examinations scheduled for Saturday.

The examination body, which put the suspension hour between 8:00pm on April 7 (Friday) and 12:00am on April 10 (Monday), said one million candidates have registered for the exam so far.

Twitter withdraws lawsuit against US Govt

Twitter has withdrawn its lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security just a day after it filed the lawsuit against the Govt, read here. They withdrew the lawsuit after the agency abandoned efforts to identify a user, @ALT_USCIS who’s been criticizing the Trump administration.

Adele breaks Billboard record after her album '21' spends 319 weeks on the chart


This week, Adele's album “21,” which was released in 2011, surpassed Carole King’s 1971 “Tapestry”, for time spent on the Billboard 200 by a woman. Billboard confirms that “21” just completed its 319th week on the chart where King’s album spent a nonconsecutive 318 weeks. 
That’s over six years. Billboard also notes that while Adele’s album has appeared on the chart every week since its debut, King’s dipped out of the ranking in 1977 after 302 weeks, and reappeared in 2010.Overall, Adele’s “21” is the 11th longest-charting album on the Billboard chart.

Syrian refugees in the US commend Trump for his missile strike against Syria

Syrian refugee, Rashid Mahmoud, who arrived the United States less than 2 years ago rejoiced at the news of American missiles pummeling a Syrian air base Thursday night, and struggled with praise for President Donald J. Trump, who has more often seemed like an antagonist than an ally.
Mr. Mahmoud, said in an interview on Friday at his new home in Lowell, Mass said:
“It was good to protect people, and I think it’s human — it’s required by humanity” .As for the president, he said, “I’m just supportive for yesterday, not all the time.”
