17-year-old boy pleads guilty in plot to assassinate the Pope

A New Jersey teen has pleaded guilty to a plot allegedly inspired by the Islamic State group to kill Pope Francis in 2015, during a public Mass in Philadelphia, US.

The suspect, Santos Colon, admitted on Monday in a federal court in Camden that he attempted to conspire with a sniper to shoot the Pope during his visit to Philadelphia and set off explosive devices in the surrounding areas.
According to the US Justice Department, Santos Colon, 15 years old at the time, sought to recruit a sniper to shoot the pope as he celebrated mass in Philadelphia on September 27, 2015. Colon also allegedly planned to set off explosives.

Itse Sagay Writes To Nigerian Senate - You 'cannot be the accuser, prosecutor, and judge'

Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has written to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, asking him to withdraw the Senate resolution summoning him to appear before it.  

In the letter dated 3 April, Mr. Sagay said his criticism of the Senate was founded on Section 171(1) of the Constitution, which gives power to the President to appoint any person to hold or act in the office of the head of any extra-ministerial department of the Federal Government. 

South Africa Minister Reveals Most Dangerous Sex Style, Calls For Ban

South Africa’s Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, has said ‘doggy’ style during sex is the major cause of cancer and stroke. 


He said after three years of arduous research, he found out that the high pumping of blood during sex, when one is standing or kneeling overloads the veins in the legs which ultimately causes stroke.

He told The Insider, “On cancer – one of the main causes of cancer is stress, fatigue and tiredness.

Fire Outbreak At Kano International Airport

The Malam Aminu Kano International Airport is currently engulfed in a blaze of fire, Daily Sun reports.

It was gathered that the section of the complex caught in the wild fire is the fuel dump.

The fuel drop is located just some few distance away from the domestic arrival hall adjacent a vast space that houses corner shops. An eyewitness said the fire started around 7.45am and forced dwellers to flee the area. 

NNPC Speaks Over Discovery Of Large Quantity Of Crude Oil In Niger

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said that the discovery of Crude oil in large quantity in Bida Basin, Northern Niger state was quoted out of context.

Dr Mazadu D Bako, the Group General Manager, Frontier Exploration Services (GGM, FES). NNPC said the discovery of crude oil in any location is not an hidden thing and community and people will celebrate.

Gambia Discovers Mass Grave Where 'Yahaya Jammeh' Buried Freedom Fighters

Gambia has discovered a mass grave at military site, Foni Kanilai, hometown of exiled Dictator Yahya Jammeh, where freedom fighters are buried, bodies found include US captain Njaga Jagne.

The Police, Crime and Forensic department have embarked on an extensive search for ‘Secret Graves’ in a South Western Town of Foni since 30th March 2017.

The Forensic search team were lead to the graves by members of the former Junglers’, a hit squad of previous President and ruthless Dictator Yahya Jammeh.
