Photos: Runtown speaks on the emergence of African music at Harvard University

Nigerian pop star, Runtown is not just all about shows, concerts and gigs, he's also an intelligent songwriter and great public speaker.
During his just concluded tour in the United States, he was invited as a guest to a special interaction with Harvard African Student Association where he spoke on the emergence of African music and pop culture influence across the world.
Before the speech,  Runtown received an inspirational shout out from Grammy Nominated super producer Nana Kwabena who has made smash hit joints for stars like Jidenna, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae, John Legend and more. 

Breaking! At least 10 people killed in St Petersburg metro blast in Russia

At least 10 people have been killed and 30 people injured, including children, in an explosion at a metro station in St Petersburg, the second biggest state in Russia. The explosion ripped through a passenger train carriage at a time when the metro station was very busy. Officials say they believe it is a terrorist attack. More details later...

Fuel scarcity looms as Petroleum tanker Drivers begin strike today


Another period of fuel scarcity looms as authorities of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers PTD have directed their members to begin an indefinite strike starting from today April 3rd.

National Chairman of PTD, Salimon Oladiti, has instructed members of the association to shut all loading depots and fuel terminals until further notice.

Prophet Attacks Colleague With Axe Over Fake Prophecy

A Zimbabwe prophet, Johane Masowe has attacked a fellow church prophet with an axe following a spirit medium while prophesying.

The incident allegedly occurred March 25 at Chikwanha's shrine at the Zimbabwe-South Africa border post when Chikwanha prophesied that Takura was using a spirit medium to prophesy in church. His argument was that use of a spirit medium contradicted the church's doctrine.

Former Vice President of the World Bank, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili has described Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele's foreign exchange policy as a medieval approach.

This is coming as the Central ban of Nigeria slashed the rate at which it was selling dollars to Bureau De Change (BDC) operators nationwide. 

The Apex bank also put their selling rate at N360 about 10.8 per cent slash to the dollar. 

Buhari, Saraki, Dogara In Closed-door Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mr. Dogara went into the president’s office at about 11:57 a.m. 

Sources at the villa told Premium Times that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki will also be meeting with Mr. Buhari after Mr. Dogara.
