Call us if your bank doesn't supply you with FOREX within 24 hours- CBN tells Nigerians

In a statement released on its website today, the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, has asked Nigerians seeking to buy forex for BTA, PTA, medical and school fees but are being frustrated by any bank, to call this number 07002255226 to report such bank. 
 
According to the statement, some Bank customers have complained that since the apex bank issued a directive that banks should sell forex at N360/$1 to its customers, some of the banks have refused their request for FOREX, saying they do not have enough foreign exchange. CBN says this is a lie as the banks have been adequately supplied with forex. Read the statement below

Six people dead in Abuja Meningitis outbreak


Thursday, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Primary Health Care Development Board confirmed the death of yet another person due to Cerebrospinal Meningitis in Abuja. The board recorded four deaths on Tuesday in Durumi area of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), while another death from the disease occurred in Dakwa, a border village of Bwari Area Council and Niger state on Wednesday.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed said,

Woman loses all three of her sons and their wives in helicopter crash as they traveled to surprise their niece

An elderly mother of a millionaire family is mourning the death of her sons and their wives who died while they were all flying to Ireland to surprise their niece at her confirmation party.

Mrs Noeleen Burke, who is in her 80s, lost her husband three years ago and with the loss of her sons and daughters-in-law recently, she has only one remaining daughter.
Kevin, 56, Donald, 55, and Barry 51 together with their wives were killed when their helicopter crashed in Snowdonia on Wednesday. The ill-fated Twin Squirrel red helicopter left the Burke's Milton Keynes mansion heading to Dublin. The helicopter lost contact as it passed over North Wales, which was battered by gale force winds, heavy rain and had visibility of less than 10 metres in places because of low cloud. It crashed into the Rhinog Fawr mountains in Snowdonia near the giant Trawsfynydd lake reservoir on Wednesday afternoon.
