Buhari Narrates Vacation Experience To Governors, Why He Barred Them From Visiting

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday narrated his medical vacation experience to Nigerian Governors and apologised for barring them from visiting.

Mr. Buhari stated this while he met with the 36 states governors at the Statehouse.

The president said he was overwhelmed by his recent experience in which states, irrespective of political differences charged their citizens to pray in mosques and churches for his well-being, and apologised to governors for barring them from visits to him while he rested in London.

Police Reveals Who IMF Letter Bomb Was Meant To Kill

The letter bomb sent to the offices of the International Monetary Fund in the centre of Paris, when opened injured a female employee of the IMF. She also suffered injuries to her face and arms. The letter bomb was addressed to the world lender's European representative blew up as she opened it, police said.

Ekiti state Governor Ayodele Fayose on Wednesday, stepped out to the street and personally led his staff to distribute bags of rice and other foodstuffs at Nova Road, Ado Ekiti.

The governor also topped the goodies with N200 cash for each bag of rice collected.

French govt issues terror attack warning after armed student opened fire at high school injuring eight people

A 17-year-old student has been arrested after a gunman opened fire at a school in the small southern French town of Grasse, Alexis de Tocqueville, injuring at least eight people including the headmaster. 

The teenager armed with a rifle, two handguns and two grenades has been arrested and a second is possibly being sought.

A pastor has discovered one of the largest uncut diamonds in Kono district, Sierra Leone.

Pastor Emmanuel Momoh's discovery, which is yet to be valued weighs 709 carats, is now locked up in Sierra Leone's central bank in Freetown, BBC reports.

 he diamond is the biggest to be in Sierra Leone since 1970, when the 969-carat Star of Sierra Leone was dug up.

The diamond was first taken to President Ernest Bai Koroma on Wednesday evening before being locked up.

A battle hardened soldier used to seeing dead people could not contain his emotions after he uncovered the remains of a little girl murdered by ISIS in Mosul, Iraq.

The Iraqi soldier found the body of the girl in a mass grave of about 24 victims, most of who were children, after a part of the besieged city was taken back from the terror group.

State governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors Forum, today presented President Buhari a " Get Well Soon" card at the state house Abuja.

 President Buhari returned to Nigeria last Friday following a long medical vacation in the UK. Upon his return, Buhari disclosed that he has never been this sick in his entire life. The governors gave him the card at the National Economic Council meeting. See more photos after the cut.
