Issa Hayatou Loses CAF Presidential Election

Issa Hayatou’s near 3 decade reign as CAF President today ended as delegates vote him out of the post. 
Hayatou lost to his rival Ahmad Ahmad in historic election held in Ethiopia.

After 29 years and five terms as president of CAF, Hayatou lost to Ahmad on a voting scale of 34 to 20.

Letter Bomb Explodes At IMF Headquarters

A letter bomb has detonated at the offices of the International Monetary Fund in the centre of Paris.
The letter exploded when it was opened this morning. 

A police source in France said that one person was slightly injured in the blast.

No other damage has been reported from the incident in western Paris, a police official said.

Senate Sends Customs Boss, Hameed Ali Out, Tells Him To Return In Uniform

Nigerian Senate on Thursday sent the Customs Comptroller General, Hameed Ali back to go and wear uniform and appear before it next Wednesday.

The Senators in a voice vote mandated the Comptroller General of Customs to come in uniform on Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.

Photos: 26 Nigerians arrested by immigration police for living, working illegally in Cambodia

Immigration police on Wednesday, March 15th, arrested 26 Nigerians in Chom Chao, near Phnom Penh's Por Senchey district for living and working in Cambodia without valid visas and/ or passports.
  
Major General Ouk Heisela, director of inspection at the Interior Ministry’s General Department of Immigration, said the group was taken for questioning after their arrest.
Officers found only 10 had passports, while 16 had no travel documents at all. The 10 with passports but no work permits will be fined and released. The rest will be deported back to Nigeria"

British teenager dies after falling from mast of luxury yacht in Jamaica


Bethany Smith, 18, has died after falling off the mast of a luxury yacht while it was berthed near Portland, Jamaica. The young lady had been working on the yacht for over a year as a junior deckhand until that fateful Tuesday when she had an unfortunate accident and died in hospital as a result of her injuries.
The teenager is originally from Glyn-Dyfrdwy, Denbighshire, North Wales, UK but she left a decade ago to sail around the world with her family on their yacht. More than a year ago, she fell in love with a Germania Nova yacht in Trinidad and decided to join in. She was enthusiastic about working on the yacht and blogged about her experience seeing the world on the Germania Nova. Her blog's motto was "Live life for today, you never know what tomorrow will bring".
