Police officer rescued from being lynched after breaking into a shop


A Malawian police officer was recused from an angry mob who almost set him ablaze for breaking into a shop. The police officer identified as Raphael Banda and two of his accomplices from Ntcheu were allegedly caught by people trying to steal from a shop at Mtonda Trading Centre. According to Ncheu Police PRO, Hastings Chigaru who confirmed the incident, the police officer is at Ntcheu Police Station awaiting to be charged with an offence.
He said people pounced on them by administering mob justice but when the police were alerted they came to their rescue. However, Chigaru also said that if not for the police rescue team the mob would have set the suspects on fire.

Graphic photos: Suspected ritualists slaughter four children in an Islamic school in Niger State, drain their blood


Suspected ritualists on Wednesday, March 8th, invaded Tungan Magajiya in Rijau local government area of Niger State and slaughtered four young boys in an Islamic school, then made away with their blood. The assailants believed to be looking for fresh human blood stormed the Islamic school around 3am and attacked five boys, slit their throats and drained their blood.Three of the boys died instantly while a fourth passed away hours later.

Breaking! President Buhari has returned to Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to the country, 51 days after he left on a medical leave. According to ThisDay, he arrived at about 4 a.m. this morning. But due to the closure of the Abuja airport, his plane landed at the Kaduna airport and would from there be transported via Helicopter to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
