Nigeria: We Are Not Aware Of HIV Cure By Abia Professor – Health Minister

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has said that he was not aware of a cure for HIV/AIDS by Prof. Maduike Ezeibe of a Nigerian University.

The minister had reacted to claims of finding a cure for HIV being made by a Professor of Virology at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in Abia State, Maduike Ezeibe.

Health Minister Adewole, in a text message sent through the Director Media & Public Relations at the Ministry of Health, Mrs. Boade Akinola, wrote, “I’m not aware of his claims.

Nigerian Army Arrests 3 Foreign Terrorists in Borno

The Nigerian Army said on Thursday that it had arrested three foreign terrorists as part of its ongoing anti terrorism war in the North-East. 

Maj.-Gen. Lucky Irabor, the Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Maiduguri.

Irabor said that the suspects were arrested at a check point in Damasak.

Nigerian Professor, Maduike Ezeibe 'Discovers Cure For HIV/AIDS'

Prof. Francis Otunta, the Vice Chancellor (VC), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, in Abia, has confirmed the discovery of a new drug for the treatment and cure of HIV/AIDS.


Otunta said the finding followed years of scientific research by the institution. He said that the breakthrough was made by Prof. Maduike Ezeibe, a researcher in the university.

According to him, Ezeibe had presented the drug to the University management, Senate and Council, where he explained the processes he went through to arrive at his finding.

Zimbabwean Woman Gives Birth To 'Frog' Baby [ PHOTOS]

A Zimbabwean woman, Precious Nyathi gave birth to a 'frog-like creature'.
Nyathi, from the village of Gokwe, in the north west of the country, was eight months pregnant when she went into labour.
But her husband, Mr Nomore, was left baffled when the 36-year-old gave birth to 'something strange' which resembled an amphibious creature.

The baby later died in hospital before village elders ordered that the 'frog-like creature' be burnt in front of residents.

A Zimbabwean gospel musician and pastor, Richard Nhika, 38, filmed himself as he committed suicide because of a conflict he had with his girlfriend, Nomatter.
In the video, Richard can be seen in a bush in Goodhope, Westgate, Zimbabwe, holding onto a bottle as he spoke into the camera, his message directed at a woman believed to be his girlfriend.
