Teenager Who Stabbed Ex-Friend To Death Over Tracksuit Row Jailed For Life


A 17-year-old boy who stabbed a teenager to death at a party after a row over a tracksuit has been put behind bars for life. Aaron Alexander Tavares-Gaiete will spend a minimum of 14 years in jail before he can be considered for release after murdering his 16-year-old classmate Munashe Charles Kutyauripo.

Tavares-Gaiete, of Ilford, east London, was found guilty of the murder following a retrial at the
Old Bailey.

Mrs Ada Ugo-Ngali, the Managing Director of Ontario Oil and Gas Ltd, was on Thursday sent to jail for 10 years for defrauding the Federal Government of N754 million in oil subsidy transactions. 

Justice Lateefa Okunnu of an Ikeja High Court handed down the verdict, the first conviction since the massive oil subsidy fraud trial allegedly perpetuated by oil marketers began in 2012. 

Walter Wagbatsoma, Ugo-Ngadi’s co-defendant and the Chairman of Ontario Oil and Gas Ltd, was absent in court for the judgment. He is currently being held in the United Kingdom on charges relating to a £12 million National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Trust fraud.

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign executive orders today that includes a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries

This was revealed by congressional aides and immigration experts, who asked not to be named, briefed on the matter. Trump gave a hint about this on twitter, saying a big day was planned on national security on Wednesday. 

He is expected to block visas being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

Venus & Serena Williams to meet in ninth Grand Slam final


The 2017 Australian Open just reached an interesting climax! Venus and Serena Williams will now meet in the Grand Slam final for the ninth time after the American sisters came through their semi-finals in Melbourne.  

 Venus beat fellow American Coco Vandeweghe 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 6-3 to reach her first major final since 2009 while Serena saw off Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 6-2 6-1 in the second semi-final.

For Serena, she'll be attempting to win an Open-era record 23rd Grand Slam singles title while while Venus hopes to win an eighth major title, first in Melbourne and first since Wimbledon in 2008.
