For the first time in 3 years, Rafa Nadal has reached a grand slam semifinal


Rafa Nadall overcame third-seed Milos Raonic in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 to reach a first grand slam semifinal since winning his ninth French Open crown in 2014. With his victory, a first grand slam final in six years between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer draws closer.

He'll now face Grigor Dimitrov in the men's semifinals at Melbourne Park on Friday.

EFCC’s Forfeiture Case Against Diezani Adjourned Till Feb 16


A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, adjourned till February 16, to deliver judgment in the suit by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,) seeking forfeiture of funds linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke.

Trial judge, Justice Muslim Hassan, adjourned for judgement after hearing arguments from counsel representing parties in the suit.

Boko Haram Terrorists Invade Borno Village, Kills 8, Abduct Women, Children


Suspected Boko Haram members abducted seven women and killed three other persons in an attack on Ndagu Village of Askira-Uba Local Government Area of Borno State on Monday Jan 23rd.

The sect members stormed the village at about 5am and began shooting sporadically. They burnt homes and took away some cars.

Confirming the attack and abduction, the state Commissioner of Police, Damian Chukwu, said

“From the information we have, the attack took place three days ago and the intelligence gathered was that 7 women were abducted and three persons were also killed. Most of the villagers fled but their houses were completely razed down by fire which the attackers use to set them ablaze".

Kamal resigned as Davido's manager 4 years after he took over from Asa Asika


By now, the industry is aware of the 'mild drama' happening inside the camp of one of Nigeria's leading pop star, Davido.

It all began with a Snapchat message from Davido in the second week of January 2017 that reads, 'I am my own manager 2017!! Don’t put your life for another man hand'.


At first, Industry pundits received the message as one of Davido's many jokes but the signs were clear that indeed there may be issues.

In the last couple of days, Davido has done quite a lot of news worthy things including his performance at AFCON, signing a new artiste and even releasing a new song with Mayorkun but through all these, Kamal stayed usually silent on social media.

Tennis star, Serena Williams breezed past Johanna Konta 6-2, 6-3 at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday to move into a 10th consecutive grand slam semifinal and closer to a record 23rd major.


Williams now stands a chance of hitting the number one spot from Angelique Kerber if she wins the tournament but she might need to defeat older sister Venus to do so.
