Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, was manhandled yesterday by security agents at the University of Lagos multipurpose hall where the school's convocation ceremony was held. Sowore was there as a guest and also to protest the continued suspension of one of the school's activist, Adeyeye Olorunfemi who was suspended by the school management last year over a critical article he posted on his Facebook wall accusing the school's Vice Chancellor, Professor Rahman Bello, of poorly managing the affairs of the school.

Fayose foils DSS plan to arrest Pastor in Ekiti
Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’s Forum, Mr Ayodele Fayose, in the early morning on Wednesday foiled an attempt by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) from arresting Apostle Johnson Suleman of The Omega Fire Ministries World wide in Ado Ekiti.
The firebrand Pastor was alleged to have been preaching against Islamizing Nigeria and asked members of his church in Auchi, Edo State to resist the killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen, who he alleged of targeting Christians for decimation.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has revealed that the Police High Command dismissed the six policemen attached to him because they refused to allow the security agencies execute their plot of assassinating him.Speaking when he received the Aluu Council of Chiefs at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Governor Wike said there was a detailed plan by the security agencies to assassinate him, but his security details resisted the execution of the evil plot.

15-year-old school boy is stabbed to death outside school yard
15-year-old Quamari Barnes was stabbed repeatedly before he collapsed close to the gate of his school in the presence of screaming classmates.
Quamari was attacked as he waited at a bus stop in Willesden at 3.30pm yesterday afternoon, before being chased back towards his school, Capital City Academy. He never made it to the school, but collapsed just yards away. Multiple stab wounds were found on him after he collapsed.

One of Nakia’s friends who watched the live feed, tried to talk her friend out of going out ahead with the suicide but she failed to stop Nakia. Nakia reportedly tied her scarf to a shower-glass door frame to hang herself. The friend who tried to stop her called Miami-Dade Police. Officers showed up at the friend’s house but the address was wrong, the residents at that address were able to give police the correct address of her foster home in Miami Gardens. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital. “We are absolutely horrified and devastated by the news of this young girl's death,” said DCF Secretary Mike Carroll. “We will do everything we can to support this family and all those who cared for her as they begin to heal from this tragedy. We will conduct a comprehensive, multidisciplinary special review to examine this child’s history and the circumstances related to serving the child.”
Operatives from the Department of State Security on Wednesday morning stormed Midas Hotel, Iworoko, Ado-Ekiti, to effect man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman’s arrest. Suleman is hosting a two-day crusade in Ado Ekiti tagged ‘Help From Above’, his first in Ekiti State. Sources said that they came in a Hilux truck, with armed policemen.
