Nigerians Do Not Need Counselling To Reject APC In 2019- Fayose


The Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has said Nigerians does not need counselling to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress during the 2019 general elections.
According to him, the abysmal performance of the party has already made the people grow weary of the party.

This is just as the governor noted that there was a wide difference in the tolerance levels of former President Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari. Fayose stated this in Ado Ekiti during an interactive session with some journalists.

Two suspected masterminds of the kidnapping of pupils and staff members of the Nigerian Turkish International Colleges have been arrested by the police.

Apart from the ringleaders, Philip Kakadu, aka General Kakadu, and Romeo Council, aka Raw, other suspects were also said to be undergoing screening in connection with the abduction.

Punch Metro gathered that 29-year-old Kakadu and Council, 40, were apprehended in Warri, Delta State, by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, led by ACP Abba Kyari.

A driver attached to the Cross River State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Calistus Okune, was on Wednesday remanded in the Afokang Prison in Calabar for assaulting two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Okune was alleged to have acted on orders of his boss, Mr. Peter Egba, after the Toyota Corolla that he was driving was impounded for several offences, including driving without using seat belt and use of fake government number plate.

The incident was said to have happened in front of a magistrate, who presided over cases of traffic offences, during a mobile court session facilitated by the FRSC.

While one of the affected FRSC officials was beaten up and had his uniforms torn by the aggrieved driver, the other had a deep cut in his head.

50-Year Old Man Charged With Murder After Body Of Much Loved Mum Was Found In Suitcase


A man has been charged with murder after the body of a 'much loved' mum was found in a suitcase.
Kiran Daudia, 46, was found dead in a Leicester alleyway yesterday morning.

Leicestershire Police said last night they had charged Ashwin Daudia, 50, with murder and remanded him in custody.

Daudia, of Lyme Road, Leicester, will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court today.

Ms Daudia's family paid tribute to her saying: "Kiran was a much loved mum, daughter, sister and auntie, and she will be deeply missed by us all.

An official of the Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, Omojoye Ayodele, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing his wife, Mary Egbailo.
Punch Metro gathered that Ayodele on Tuesday allegedly beat up the victim till she gave up the ghost at their house on Eze Anthony Street, in the Igando, Alimosho area of the state.
It was gathered that the 30-year-old suspect had gone to bring back the wife from the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in the area, where she was said to have been since Sunday.
Shortly after they entered their room-and-parlour apartment, an argument reportedly ensued between them, which led to a fight.

A man has been arrested in Thailand on suspicion of having unprotected sex with men and women while knowingly having HIV, and on suspicion of having sex with a minor.
Zdenek Pfeifer, 49, from Bohemia, Czech Republic, was caught after a huge manhunt by Thai police who found him living in Phuke
Pfeifer was on the run after an Interpol release was issued on behalf of Czech authorities who were searching for him.

He is wanted over accusations that he knowingly passed on the sexually transmitted disease to both men and women in his home country.
