Ex-boyfriend of Miss Italy beauty queen throws acid in her face, scarring her for life

A 28 year old 'Miss Italy' beauty queen, Gessica Notaro was rushed to the hospital this week after her ex-lover Jorge Edson Tavares, 29, allegedly threw acid on her face while she was at home in Rimini, Italy.
She suffered deep burns on her legs, hips, face, and hands and will require extensive plastic surgery according to the doctors in the hospital.
According to media sources in Italy, police issued Tavares a harassment order last summer after they broke up, but upon arrest by police, Tavares claimed he wasn't responsible for the attack.
The pair reportedly met in an aquarium in Rimini, Italy when she was working as a dolphin trainer.
Speaking to the Standard, Patrizia Mirigliani, a patron and organiser of the Miss Italy contest, said:
‘There can be no greater crime than defacing a person’s face in order to erase her identity, her beauty, her smile. These are outrageous attacks which keep being repeated.’

Illegal Immigrants escape from Police Custody in South Africa

South African Police Service is presently hunting for a group of illegal immigrants that escaped from the Department of Home Affairs transport vehicle. The illegal immigrants reportedly escaped custody at the Mooi River Toll Plaza in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands this morning.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed the story, saying the prisoners ‘were being transferred by Home Affairs officials from Ladysmith to Pietermaritzburg.

Photos: Woman perishes in burning car ...fire truck arrives without water


A woman died after being trapped in a burning vehicle on Christiaan de Wet Road at about 6am this morning.

A Ford Fiesta was travelling towards Ontdekkers Road, South Africa, when it veered into oncoming traffic due to the wet road. It is also alleged that the driver was speeding.
It then crashed into a VW Polo as well as a Kia. Both vehicles, the VW Polo and the Ford Fiesta, caught fire. A total of three people managed to get out of the burning cars. The deceased legs were stuck underneath the front seat of the VW Polo and she perished in the fire.

Although the fire station is less than 3km away, it took a fire truck an hour to arrive and when it did, it arrived without water.

Paris Jackson wins! Episode starring Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson in TV comedy series has been cancelled after outcry

The episode inA TV comedy series, Urban Myth, which offended Paris Jackson because a white actor portrayed Michael Jackson will not be aired on Sky Art. Sky released a statement Friday, following Paris' rant that the episode has been cancelled adding that they never intended to cause any offence. Asides Paris' outburst, another factor that probably led to the episode being pulled was a petition signed by more than 20,000 people to boycott the episode in objection to Joseph Fiennes being cast as Michael Jackson. The statement from Sky read:

The little girl, a Basic One pupil of  Medinat Al Munawarat Islamic Nursery and Primary School, a boarding school at Iju, along Sango-Idiroko Road, Ogun State, told her mother nothing.

Unfortunately for the girl’s mother, who is a widow, she was none the wiser about the abuse her daughter had been suffering in the school.
