Photos: Tanzanian singer dies after she was brutally beaten by her husband

A female Tanzanian artiste died last week after she was mercilessly beaten by her husband. Kijakazi Pazi Shaban, who was once a member of Kidedea music group – and known by her stage name Zamzam, died at her home in Musoma.

Her husband, a police officer, Hamad Ally took Shaban’s body to a morgue in Temeke, Dar es Salaam after she succumbed to her injuries.

IPMAN warns of an imminent fuel scarcity


The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has warned of an imminent fuel scarcity. Vice President of the association, Abubakar Dankigari who disclosed this to The Nation, said the scarcity will be as a result of NNPC not loading petrol at its depots.

According to Dankigari, NNPC previously dispensed fuel at their depot at N133 per liter but it had stopped for sometime now.

U.S President elect Donald Trump has blasted CNN for reporting that Russian government has incriminating information of him watching prostitutes perform sex acts on themselves in a posh Moscow hotel where the Barack Obama and Michelle Obama slept whenever they visited Moscow.

According to Trump, the news is fake and merely a political witch hunt by CNN. The CNN report alleged that Russia planned to use the damaging information to blackmail him when he assumed presidency of the United States.

Queen Juliet Okoroafor donates 200 medicated eye glasses to Isiokpo community


Residents of Ogbodo community in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, especially those who had eye problem, celebrated this year’s Christmas with joy and gratitude to God.

This followed the arrival to the community few days before New Year of Miss Health South-South, Queen Juliet Okoroafor (Miss Health South South) alongside her ‘ICare Project’ team, which included opticians. The August visitors were in the community to bring succor to those who had eye problems.

And before the team left the community, 500 people who had various eye defects were treated, while 200 eye patients went home with medicated glasses.

The visit to Ogbodo came barely five months after Queen Juliet’s coronation as Miss Health South-South. Since her coronation, she and her team, have visited various parts of the South-South region, to sensitize the people on how to live a healthy life, as well as treat those faced with various health challenges.
