The remains of former Niger state governor, Abdukadir Abdullahi Kure, arrived Nigeria yesterday January 10th. Kure died at a German hospital on Sunday January 8th. His remains was accompanied back to Nigeria by his wife Senator Zaynab Kure, Aisha Babangida and Hon. Umar Bago.

It was received at the Minna International Airport by former military head of state , General Abdulsalami Abubakar, the immediate past Governor of the state, Muazu Babangida Aliyu, former Deputy Governor, Shem Nuhu Zagbayi, former Deputy Governor, Ahmed Ibeto, Emirs of Minna (Alhaji Dr Umar Farouk Bahago), Lapai( Etsu, Engr Umar Bago Tafida) and Agaie (Etsu, Mallam Yusuf Nuhu) .

Veteran journalist, Clare Hollingworth who broke news of World War II, dies aged 105

Veteran British journalist, Clare Hollingworth, who broke the news of the Nazi invasion of Poland that marked the beginning of World War II, died in Hong Kong yesterday Jan. 10th at the age of 105.

Hollingworth's death was announced in a statement released by the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Hong Kong.

In August 1939, at the age of 27, late Hollingworth who was a rookie reporter with Britain’s Daily Telegraph, traveled alone to the German border and witnessed the first column of Nazi tanks mobilising to invade Poland.

Kenyan couple living in agony after the disappearance of their three children

A couple from Nairobi in Kenya is living in deep pain after their three children, two sons, and daughter went missing since Sunday evening.

The missing children identified as Peter Kagetha 11, Samuel Kagunya 4 and Beatrice Wanjiku 1, are reported to have left their home at Ngomongo area at about 7pm living no trace.

According to their parents, Mr. Paul  Mbugua and Beth Wanjiku, they said they had left the children at home in the morning, but on getting back at around 8pm same day, they did not find them at home.

The Seme Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has made seizure of Five hundred and fifty (550) cartons of frozen poultry products, with Duty Paid Value of N6,048,680.

The Information patrol team led by CSC Ozah, Mathew. O. disclosed that the arrest was made within Mosafejo axis when the said truck was coming out from the creeks on the 4th January at 0500hrs.
