Remember the photo of a woman who displayed meagre goods on the streets of Lagos? Adepeju Olukoku, the founder of Kokun Foundation, who posted the photo has empowered the trader by donating 10k to her. Now she can restock and make more profit.

According to The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Nigeria,(OCHA) Amina's husband was killed and their entire village burnt by Boko Haram. The mother of four is now among thousands of vulnerable widows in North East Nigeria.

Photos: Man jailed for torturing 20-year-old woman with burning iron and raping her repeatedly for 3 days


A man who imprisoned a woman in his flat while he raped, brutally beat and tortured her with a burning iron has been jailed for a total of 23 years.

Courtney Hutchinson,32, also known as DVS, force-fed and burnt the 20-year-old woman, made her take scalding showers and savagely beat her before repeatedly raping and telling her she would die.

President Buhari commissioned the Revitalized Kuchigoro Primary Healthcare centre (PHC) and inaugurated the Steering Committee of the National Health Act in Kuchigoro Abuja on Tuesday, January 10th.

"Our vision is to revitalise 10,000 Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities across Nigeria—in phases. In the first phase we will deliver 109 facilities; one in each Senatorial District," the President said.

Metuh Collapses In Church Yesterday As Trail Is Stalled


The trial of Olisa Metuh, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party was on Tuesday stalled following his collapse at his Abuja church on Sunday.

His lawyer, Mr Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), told a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday that Metuh is currently on admission at the National Hospital Abuja.

According to Ikpeazu, Metuh was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed during the Sunday service in his church in Abuja on Sunday.
