The woman, wearing a black vest top and a pair of skimpy hotpants in the CCTV footage steps into the store with the weapon in her hand.

She then appears to walk off into the shop, as two customers wait to be served at the counter. But minutes later she reappears and starts talking to a man in the queue.

A British mother who was thrown into prison in Bahrain for alleged adultery is free to return to the UK.

Hannah James, 26, was detained last month in the ultra-conservative Muslim state where Sharia law is enforced after her husband Jassim Alhaddar, 30, reported her to police.

Miss James’ family claimed that her allegedly abusive husband burned her passport when she tried to leave him and told authorities she was having an affair.

But last night the Daily Mail located Miss James’ passport in an apartment she had been renting with another man in Manama, Bahrain’s capital.

A concierge at the £75-a-night serviced apartment block said Miss James, a veterinary receptionist, had arrived with a Saudi Arabian man on December 6 before her husband found her and called police.
