Photos/Video: Baby abandoned by the roadside at Abeokuta-Lagos expressway


According to Emmanuel Jolly who shared the video on his Facebook page, the little baby was abandoned yesterday morning at Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. In the video, a group of people are seen lifting the baby from near a vehicle tyre where he was abandoned and wrapping him up in a duvet. See the video after the cut...

Couple involved in tragic car accident as they were returning to Lagos 3 days after their wedding. The man died (photos)


The sad story was shared on Facebook by Chukwudi Iwuchukwu. The couple got married on Jan. 2nd and were returning to Lagos on January 5th when they were involved in a horrific car accident. The man died on the spot while the woman, Onyeagba Cynthia Chy, made it out alive but was badly injured and is currently in hospital. So sad! US-based Nigerian couple, Law and Anambra State-born Nkeiruka Mkparu, a medical doctor (Resident Pediatrician at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio), tied the knots last year. He posted one of their wedding photos weeks ago and wrote:

"After I saw her in this dress, I called her father and insisted that I must pay more bride price!! I am blessed." Also see photos from their traditional wedding held a year ago in Ojoto, Anambra State...

Musa, from Gwoza, Borno State was among more than 6,000 displaced families that received mattresses, blankets, pots and other essentials household items donated by the govt of Germany. 
Speaking to IOM Nigeria, Musa narrated how he left his belongings and aged father behind and fled his town three years ago to avoid being forcibly recruited by Boko Haram group.
