Aisha Buhari denies collecting monetary or material favors from the Nigeria High Commission in the UK

Yesterday, US based news platform, Sahara Reporters, posted a story on its website claiming Aisha Buhari and other key Nigerians allegedly use revenue generated from the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, to pay the hotel bills of Mrs Buhari's large entourage during any of her visits to the UK. Part of the report reads;
"Our inside sources in the UK, and Abuja revealed that the High Commission spends a minimum of £7,000 for hospitality on each of Mrs. Buhari’s trips to the United Kingdom. Last year alone, Mrs. Buhari visited the UK at least seven times. 

Legendary Indian actor Om Puri dies at 66


Critically acclaimed Indian actor Om Puri has died at the age of 66. According to a friend close to him, Om Puri, who starred in popular movies like "City of Joy" and "East is East," suffered a heart attack early Friday January 6th at his Mumbai home.


Puri was known for his versatility and appeal across global markets. He appeared not only in mainstream Bollywood movies and regional Indian cinema, but also numerous British and Hollywood productions.

Osama Bin Laden's son added to U.S. terror blacklist


A son of deceased al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden has been officially added to the U.S. counter-terrorism blacklist, a move that bars U.S. citizens from doing business with them, the State Department said.

The State and Treasury departments on Thursday, said they had designated Hamza bin Laden and Ibrahim al-Banna, a senior leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula as global terrorists.

Hamza, who is now in his twenties was named an official member of al-Qaeda in 2015 by senior leader Ayman al-Zawahiri and is seen as a possible successor to his father.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally granted football legend Joe Kadenge his wish to meet him at State House in Nairobi. 

Yesterday, we reported that the retired Kenyan football star and coach who has been battling with several ailments for years, made a plea in a video, requesting to meet with the President before he dies.
 
Joe Okudo, the permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Sports, Culture and the Arts, who visited the former Maragoli United and Abaluhya FC star icon at his home as soon as they heard his plea, confirmed that Kadenge would have his moment with the Head of State.

 Nigerian writer and filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue, who is currently a Research Fellow at Centre for International Studies at Ohio University VISITED anti-racism activist, Jane Elliott in her home in Sun City, California yesterday and shared pictures on his Facebook.
