Photos: EFCC arraigns Katsina State Permanent Secretary for fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) today January 3, 2017 arraigned one Sule Yusuf Saulawa, a permanent secretary formally attached to the office of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State before Honourable Justice Sanusi Tukur of the Katsina High Court on a one count charge of Obtaining by False Pretense contrary to section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.

The accused person who is a permanent secretary in Katsina but currently without portfolio allegedly obtained the sum of N2,500,000 ( Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only) while he was attached to the office of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State from the complainant under the pretext that the then Deputy Governor's office would award the complainant a contract for the supply of fertilizer to all the Local Government areas in Katsina State.

12yr old girl commits suicide by hanging herself and live streams it (video)

A 12 year old girl named Katelyn Nichole Davis hanged herself on December 30th and live streamed the suicide. She was from Silver Creek, Polk County, Georgia, a student at Cedartown Middle School, and lived with her mother. If you're interested in watching the horrific video, go here

Twin babies who made headlines after being born in different years on New Year's Eve have celebrated their first birthdays.


Little Silas and Annabelle were born in a hospital in Esbjerg in Denmark, with Silas being delivered shortly before midnight in 2015 and Annabelle just after the clock had struck midnight to welcome 2016. 
They were born nine weeks early and spent four weeks in intensive care fighting for their lives.

Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Oliseh on Monday evening commenced training with his new club, Dutch second division side Fortuna Sittard, and in the process made history as the first African to manage a club in the Netherlands.

Oliseh, who applied for the job directly, rather than through his agent, says he's elated to be coaching the club and says his first aim is to develop a playing philosophy for the club to ensure they concede less goals and play beautiful football.

"I am very happy to be here," Oliseh told Fortuna Sittard's official website.
