Miss Puerto Rico Crowned Miss World 2016


Miss World 2016 has been named as Stephanie Del Valle from Puerto Rico. The stunning model and musician was crowned as this year’s winner in a glitzy star-studded ceremony in Washington DC tonight.

The 19-year-old beauty, who is the second Miss World to hail from Puerto Rico, beat 116 contestants from all over the world to win the title.

And she appeared genuinely astonished as it dawned on her that she had won the 66th instalment of the coveted beauty pageant. More photos below...

Real Madrid Pass Barcelona For Most International Titles Won


With their triumph over Kashima Antlers in the Club World Cup final, Real Madrid have now surpassed rivals Barcelona for the most international titles won. Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo was in inspired form for Zinedine Zidane's men as a 4-2 victory ensured his side's trip to Japan was a fruitful one.

That win brings Real Madrid's international title haul to 21, overtaking Barcelona, who they had been sat level on with 20 trophies apiece.The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu trophy room now contains 11 European Cup/Champions League titles, two Club World Cups, three Intercontinental Cups, two UEFA Cups and three UEFA Super Cups.

Buhari,Boko Haram Leader, And Dangote Listed As Most Powerful Muslims In The World

President Muhammadu Buhari has been named among the top 50 most influential Muslim leaders in the world alongside popular terrorist Abubakar Shekau.
According to the 2017 edition of The Muslim500, an annual report of the world’s 500 most influential Muslims, President Buhari is the 17th most powerful Muslim in 2016. Last year, he was the 20th most influential Muslim.
Among the top 50 list are two other Nigerians, the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, and a Borno State-Islamic cleric, Sheik Ibrahim Saleh. The Sultan and Saleh retained their previous ranking, 22nd and 38th respectively.
Also listed were Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Nigeria. Other Nigerians who made the list of most influential 500 Muslims in the world included Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, Prince Bola Ajibola, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, and Abdurahman Olanrewaju Ahmad.
The publication noted that there were 1.7 billion Muslims all over the world, making up approximately 23 per cent of the world’s population, or one-fifth of the world.
It stated that Buhari and his compatriots were listed among the world’s 50 most powerful Muslim leaders because of their influence on “cultural, ideological, financial and political” activities.

Abolish Shariah If You Don’t Like Christian Courts — CAN Fires Back At Muslims

The General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Musa Asake, has stated that Muslims have no right to kick against a proposed bill to establish Christian courts across Nigeria.
The House of Representatives on Tuesday in Abuja passed for second reading, a bill to provide for the establishment of the Ecclesiastical Court of Appeal in the country.
Following the development, many persons, especially the Muslim have community kicked against it.
Reacting to the attacks and criticisms trailing the bill, Asake said if the Muslims were not comfortable with the bill, they should also abolish Shariah.
On why they want to establish Christian court, the CAN scribe told Punch that, “We have tolerated them enough. People should choose their words wisely. The ecclesiastical courts have nothing to do with them. They should make room for peace. Fulani herdsmen have been maiming and killing our people.
