Well, the good news according to twitter user and Kenyan Communication consultant, @KenyanWest, is that the little boy has been adopted. He is pictured on the left with his adoptive parent identified as Nissy Wambugu. Hopefully he goes on to have an amazing life now!

18 Farmers Hacked To Death In Taraba

At least 18 farmers are believed to have been hacked to death by unknown assailants at Dan-anacha in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba in the early hours of Sunday.

The killings are one of the series of bloody attacks in the state. Most of the farmers were killed on their farms.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr David Misal, who confirmed the incident, said that the police would soon release the casualty figure.

“Actually, I cannot lie to you there are casualties, but we will release the figures later after we might have finished combing the area. It was an undercover attack by some unidentified people in the area,” Misal said.

Alhaji Kasali Mumuni, 41, is the father of Maryam, 9, and Ojonla, 6. He has been married thrice but report had it that none of his wives stayed with him for more than three years before they were sent packing with their children.

Sunday Vanguard gathered that Kasali left home that fateful day for work only to return to discover that the only fish in the pot had been eaten without consideration for the bread winner of the house. It was learnt that one of the children took half of the fish in the pot and, when their step- mother returned from where she sells herbs in one of the motor parks in Owo, she ate the remaining half.
