Prince Harry In Emotional Reunion With Orphan He First Met In 2004


Their lives may be worlds apart but the bond is clear as Prince Harry hugs African orphan Relebohile Potsane.

The royal met the 15-year-old, known as Mutsu, in Lesotho during his 2004 gap year when the lad was just four and they kept in touch.

Touchingly, Harry gave Mutsu a pair of bright blue wellington boots during their first meeting that the youngster would not be parted from – even wearing them to bed.

Harry, 32, was so moved by his experiences he set up the Sentebale charity 10 years ago to boost the Lesotho’s impoverished children.

Indonesian Air Force Plane Crashes In Papua, Kills All On Board


An Indonesian air force transport plane has crashed into a mountain killing all 13 on board.

The crash happened during a training exercise in the remote region of Papua, a search and rescue agency official said earlier this morning.

The Hercules C130 plane had taken off from the city of Timika before crashing near its destination of Wamena at around 6.15 a.m. local time (23:15 GMT), said Ivan Ahmad Riski Titus, operational director of Indonesia's Search and Rescue Agency.

The crash site on Lisuwa mountain had been found and the bodies of the victims were being brought back to Wamena, he said. May their souls rest in peace.

Goodluck Jonathan Felicitates With Buhari As He Turns 74 Today


The immediate past President of the federal republic of Nigeria Jonathan Goodluck as taken out time to congratulate President Buhari as the President turns 74 today. In a statement by his Media Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan said:

On the occasion of your 74th birthday, I write to congratulate and felicitate with you. I pray that this day meets you well and that there shall be many happy returns.

I also use this opportunity to congratulate you once more as your daughter, Zahra, is given away in marriage to Ahmed Indimi.

Gunmen Kill Five Female Airport Workers In Afghanistan


Unknown gunmen have killed at least 5 female workers of the Kandahar airport in Kandahar city earlier today, local officials have said.

The incident took place in the vicinity of the city as they were travelling towards the airport for their routine work.

According to reports, the female workers were performing security duties in the airport and belonged to a private security company.

Provincial governor’s spokesman Samim Khpolwak confirmed the incident and said the driver of the female workers was also shot dead. No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

A former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Friday paid a visit to the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, where he said the latter did not deserve to be in detention.

Kalu, who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, posted a picture he had taken with Kanu during his visit to Kuje Prison.

In the post, Kalu said, “Today, I visited Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kuje Prison and we engaged in a very long discussion. Kanu is my brother and a son of the soil. He shouldn’t be where he is because Kuje Prison is not his home. It is therefore my utmost concern to see him regain his freedom like every other Nigerian.”
