Photo: Troops intercept female suicide bomber in Borno State


Nigerian Army with the help of Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) on Thursday, December 15th, thwarted an attempt by a female suicide bomber to launch a suicide attack at Rann, in Kala Bage Local Government Area of Borno State.
The terrorist had strapped her with a suicide vest and let her loose into a crowded neighbourhood but a member of the CJTF working with the Nigerian soldiers grabbed and held her hence preventing her from detonating the bomb.

During interrogation, the suicide bomber claimed she was kidnapped by Boko Haram on her way to Gamboru town.

It’s Getting Hotter! Falcons Reject N4.5m Offer


Recall N471.8m was rolled out to be paid to Super Falcons and Super Eagles for their outstanding settlements? But in a long run, NFF has agreed to pay them N4.5m each out of their over N11m right. I don’t know why the girls are rejecting the offer, but a source said, with the money given, they ought to pay them in full and let them leave the hotel in peace. The source further said, if the girls accept the money which isn’t up to half of their pay, they might never get the rest, Hence the protest continues.

Breaking: Presidency Releases N471.8m For Falcons, Super Eagles


The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has released the mandate to Central Bank of Nigeria for payment of naira equivalent of US$1,173,820.00 at N305/$  to Nigeria Football Federation in other to be able to pay outstanding winning bonuses for Super Eagles in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying Matches and for the Super Falcons’ participation in the 10th Women’s Africa nations Cup.

This is in furtherance of the approval from Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, for the said amount to be paid.

The mandate, which is a sum of N358 million, was paid by Central bank of Nigeria on Thursday, a statement signed Kenechukwu N, on behalf of the Accountant General, said.

Similarly, another mandate for N113.8 million has also been released by Office of Accountant General of the Federation for the payment of wining bonus for Super Eagles in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying matches; and for the Super Falcon’s participation in the 10th Women’s Africa Nation’s Cup.

Super Falcons: We Will Wait Till 11pm Before We Take The Next Decision


Super Journalist Aderonke Bello who led the Super Falcons protest recently as confirmed this morning that the girls will wait till 11pm before the AWCON champions take another step.
