Gambia Row: Adama Barrow To Declare Himself President


The Gambia's President-elect, Adama Barrow, has told the BBC he will declare himself president on 18 January despite incumbent Yahya Jammeh's rejection of the election result.

He said his team was preparing for his inauguration and he urged Mr Jammeh to respect the will of the electorate.

The election commission declared Mr Barrow winner of the 1 December poll.

Mr Jammeh has launched court action to annul the result after initially accepting defeat. He even turned ing down African leaders who had flew to his country to ask him to obey the law by stepping down.

US Intelligence: Putin Was Directly Involved With Russian Interference In U.S. Election


U.S. intelligence officials say they believe Russian President Vladimir Putin was directly involved in efforts to disrupt the 2016 U.S. presidential election, NBC News states.

NBC’s bombshell story comes days after The Washington Post reported that the Central Intelligence Agency believes Russia sought to influence the election and help secure President-elect Donald Trump’s victory. Those efforts reportedly included hacking the emails of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and providing them to WikiLeaks.

The New York Times, in an extensive report on the hacks, offered details on how the attacks were carried out and reported that Democratic House candidates were also targeted.

No Government Money Involved In Zahra Buhari’s Wedding- Presidency

Judge Napolitano: Election Fraud in Detroit Looks 'Organized, and Government Involved'

Jill Stein's recount efforts in Michigan have uncovered what looks like systemic election fraud in Detroit, where roughly 95% of the votes cast were cast for Hillary Clinton. Sixty percent of precincts in Wayne County had to be disqualified from the statewide recount because of "irregularities." Delta State Female Lawmaker Dies In London


The member representing Warri South Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Mrs. Omawumi Udoh, is dead.

Sources told Punch that the lawmaker died in a London hospital after battling with a protracted health challenge on Wednesday morning. She was 56 years old.

However, dependable sources also told the media house that the fourth-term lawmaker died of a cancer-related ailment. She was of the Peoples Democratic Party.
