Judge Napolitano: Election Fraud in Detroit Looks 'Organized, and Government Involved'

Sixty percent of precincts in Wayne County had to be disqualified from the statewide recount because of "irregularities." Delta State Female Lawmaker Dies In London


The member representing Warri South Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Mrs. Omawumi Udoh, is dead.

Sources told Punch that the lawmaker died in a London hospital after battling with a protracted health challenge on Wednesday morning. She was 56 years old.

However, dependable sources also told the media house that the fourth-term lawmaker died of a cancer-related ailment. She was of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Military Rescues Hundreds Of People From Sambisa Forest


The Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj. Gen. Leo Irabor, disclosed this at a press briefing yesterday at the 7 Division headquarters, in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He said, “The troops have continued to make remarkable progress in the fight against terrorism in the Sambisa Forest. Between December 7 and 14, 2016, 180 adult females, 227 male children and 129 female children, were rescued during the operations. Sixty-nine adult males were also rescued.

“The victims are in the military custody and are undergoing further investigation and interrogation. The troops are determined to wipe out the terrorists from their hideouts. I can tell you that the counter terrorism operation is already yielding positive results.”

90% of female prisoners in the country were either pregnant or nursing mothers, said the National Council of Women's Society (NCWS). The society’s president, Mrs. Gloria Shoda, disclosed this on Tuesday, December 13th, during the inauguration of new executives in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

While appealing to the Federal Government to formulate policies to protect female prisoners, Mrs Shoda urged the National Human Rights Commission to intervene to stop all forms of discrimination against female prisoners who are awaiting trial. According to her, assisting women with the relevant skills could help in building a better society.
