Photos: Lagos commissioner of police orders release of a woman and her baby arrested for stealing plantain


Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni during an unscheduled visit to Agbowa Police Station, Epe today, ordered the release of a lady and her baby arrested for stealing plantain in Agbowa Market, Epe. The lady on interrogation by the CP explained that she was pushed into stealing the plantain because she and her baby were hungry. Photos: Two Nigerian students drown in Malaysia


Two Nigerians, Amate Mohamed Amate, 26, and Emine-Imoh Daniel, 23, both students at the Curtin University Malaysia, died after they drowned following a boat mishap yesterday. The bodies of the Nigerians were reported missing when their boat, carrying seven people, capsized while on a research trip.

The surviving five, three students and the boat operator and a tour guide, managed to swim to safety.

According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Director, Nor Hisham Mohammad, the body of Amate Mohamed Amate, was found about 50m from where the boat had capsized at 12.45pm while that of Emine-Imoh Daniel, was found about 30m from where the boat had capsized at 5.15pm.

Their bodies have been deposited at the Miri Hospital for post-mortem.

Man city will face French giants Monaco, Defending champions Real Madrid will face Napoli, Benfica vs Dortmund, Bayern will play Arsenal while FC Porto will tackle Juventus.

In other draws, Leverkusen will face Atletico Madrid, PSG will face Spanish heavyweights Barcelona while Sevilla will play EPL champions Leicester City.

Justin Bieber who was said to have embraced religion a couple of years ago because he did not want to go off the rails like other celebrities is putting his religion to practice by talking about Jesus to his crew members while on tour.

Earlier this year, the 'Sorry' singer revealed that he wanted to live like Jesus and now he is reportedly encouraging his opening acts to do same.

As a source revealed to The Sun newspaper, Bieber’s life has now changed for better since he found God.
