Corps members made to kneel down as punishnment at Abia state NYSC orientation camp

A LIB reader sent in this photo of corps members on their knees at their NYSC orientation camp just because they 'annoyed' their Platoon Inspector. Read what he wrote:
"Hello Linda, Am a corp member currently undergoing orientation course at the NYSC orientation camp, Umunna, Bende, Abia state. This morning, during parade rehearsals, some corp members in 9 Platoon got the platoon inspector annoyed and he punished them by kneeling them down for some time before releasing them. #Even graduates still get kindergarten punishments #

Two female suicide bombers kill 30 at Madagali market, Adamawa state, 67 injured

30 persons were killed and 67 injured after two teenage female suicide bombers blew themselves up at Madagali Market in Adamawa on Friday morning.

The spokesman of the 28th Task Force Battalion of the Army said two teen female suicide bombers sneaked into the bustling market and detonated themselves in the middle of it.


In a statement issued by Mr Sani Datti, Head of Media and Public Relations, NEMA, in Abuja, NEMA confirmed that the victims had been evacuated to Michika General Hospital for treatment.

"Thinking about Isabel makes me wanna cry sometimes... my Sunshine.. had her on the last week of the 7th month of my pregnancy..she was sooooooo tiny,even to hold.... but she grew up to be that RARE child that never ever fell sick even as a baby,she's been very healthy n strong and now even taller n bigger than all her mates,youngest in her class,but very Intelligent. Cristiano Ronaldo's management agency/ legal team have released tax documents showing the footballer earned £191m in 2015, over £500,000 per day, £3.7m a week and £15.9m a month- after a French paper alleged recently that the Real Madrid star avoided paying tax to Spanish authorities by using offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands.

Burglars attack Real Madrid Footballer Raphael Varane's home, make away with £60k worth of valuables


Spanish newspaper El Mundo has revealed that Real Madrid and France defender Raphael Varane lost about £60,000 worth of valuables to burglars who attacked his Madrid home on Wednesday night while he was away playing football for his club side against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA champions league.

The robbers made away with 12 watches, cash, jewelry and clothes, and the footballer upon returning to the house, called police and the club's security team, informing them that he didn't put on his security alarm before leaving his house.

King of Morocco visits Mudi Africa Clothing store in Lagos (photos)


King of Morocco, Mohammed V, 53, was in Nigeria for some time. He paid a visit to president Buhari in Abuja this week and just on Monday, he visited city clothier Clement Mudiaga Enajemo's clothing store in Lagos where he was said to have bought quite a few outfits. Gambian President rejects election result days after conceding defeat


Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh, who lost to his opponent, Adams Barrow, in the presidential election held earlier this month has now refused to accept the result, claiming there were 'abnormalities' in the votes.

Jammeh, who has been the leader of The Gambia for 22 years after a successful coup in 1994, surprised everyone last week when he called the President-elect to wish him well.

"You are the elected president of The Gambia, and I wish you all the best. I have no ill will.” He said at the time.

However, just hours ago, Jammeh backtracked and is asking for a fresh election. In his words;
