Photos: 12 year old boy buried in wall rescued in Ondo

LIB cannot confirm the authenticity of this story. However according to multiple reports on Facebook, the boy pictured above, believed to be 12 years old, was buried in the wall of a building in Ondo state and was rescued yesterday. Peter Agba Kalu, a facebook user wrote
"Mysterious Things That Happens In Africa. A 12 years old boy found in the middle of a molded block in Ondo State. Am too shocked for words. I don't know how to explain the possibility of this because it's beyond science. Only someone with deep understanding of the spiritual realm will analyse this. Someone help us explain this please". We can’t pay Super Falcons because we didn’t expect them to win - Solomon Dalong


Speaking to State House correspondents after a private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential Villa, Abuja, the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Solomon Dalong on Thursday said that the Federal Government hasn't paid the allowance of members of the Super Falcons because they didn't think the Falcons would win the championship in Cameroon , hence didn't make any provision of funds for them.

He said no money was readily available to pay the players. However, he said serious efforts are being made to find a way to solve the problem at hand. He said:

Rivers State Govt condemns Governor Ganduje's "If they shoot you, take cover and shoot them" comments

Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr Austin Tam-George, has condemned the governor of Kano State, Alhaji Mohammed Ganduje, for inciting violence in Rivers State, during his speech at the APC campaign rally in Port Harcourt Thursday. Governor Ganduje had charged APC supporters to resort to violence during the rerun elections in Rivers State on Saturday, saying:
"If they shoot you, take cover and shoot them."

Dr Tam-George described the comments as "shameful and egregious invitation to violence by the Kano State governor "

Mick Jagger welcomes his 8th child at age 73


Rolling Stones frontman, 73-year-old rocker, Mick Jagger welcomed his eighth child, but the first with his 29 year old ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, on Thursday.
A rep for Jagger released a statement confirming the birth of the rocker's son. The rep said:

Retired NBA player of the Lakers, Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa Bryant welcomed their third child together, a little girl. The Bryants announced some time ago they were expecting another little girl. The new baby girl, who was reportedly born earlier this week in the Los Angeles area, will be joining her older sisters Gianna, 10, and Natalia, 13. Congratulations to the couple.

Woman allegedly trying to sell her three children arrested in Enugu State

Odinaka Ali, a 25 year old woman from Ezilo, in Ishielu Local Government of Area of Ebonyi state has been arrested for trying to sell her three children.

According to Desk officer of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, (NAPTIP) in Ebonyi State, Florence Onwa, the lady was arrested by the police after they received a tip-off from a waitress whom she had contacted to look for a trafficker who could buy her children because she could no longer take care of them after her husband abandoned them eight months ago.
