Gov. Amosun rewards street sweeper, traffic officer and 3 others with 2 bedroom flat for work dedication

Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday awarded a traffic warden, a street sweeper and three other civil servants each with 2 bedroom flat, for their dedication in their respective jobs. The Governor said he had been monitoring the street sweeper and the traffic officer for quite a while but didn't know their names. Adding that the other three recipients were picked from the list of outstanding civil servants compiled in May for May Day.

Police officers who die on duty in Lagos to receive up to N10m death insurance benefit– Ambode

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode who was present at the Lagos House in Ikeja to  announced an increment in the death insurance benefit for police officers who die while on active service to N10 million. Adding that his administration would stop at nothing to ensure the safety of all citizens in the state.

The Governor said his administration was raising the death insurance policy of Police officers from N1million to rank and file and N2million to senior officers to N10 million. Vanguard

Teen Commits Suicide By Shooting Herself In Front Of Family Members After Being Bullied Online

A teenager shot herself through the chest with a gun, committing suicide in front of her family, after being tormented by cruel bullies online.

High School student Brandy Vela, 18, took her own life after being relentlessly trolled by anonymous Facebook users.

She had sent her family a text message before shooting herself that read: "I love you so much, please remember that, and I'm sorry for everything."

Her family then returned home to find the teenager in her bedroom and begged her to put the gun down. But she shot herself with her parents and grandparents in the same room.
