An Insider Told Us Arik Was Bringing In N40m, That Was Why We Planned To Rob Them- Suspect

The 30-year-old robbery suspect, James Peters, who was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, last Monday, in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, after three members of his gang were shot dead by police, has disclosed that his gang was on a mission to rob Arik Airline of N40 million.
The suspect, who is a native of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, told Vanguard that his gang got information through an insider that the airline was bringing the money onboard one of its aircraft that would land at the Port Harcourt Air Force Base.
Peters explained that his elder brother, identified as Newman and the leader of the gang, brought the information to the gang, claiming that his brother then contacted the gang’s second-in-command known as Timi and two others, who he identified as Michael and Depreye. He said they met at a hotel in Port Harcourt last Sunday, where they planned the operation.

He said that though he was not against Abdullahi’s nomination, the process to become an authentic spokesman should be followed.

Heartbreaking Photos: Coffins Of Brazilian Footballers Killed In Plane Disaster Laid Side By Side In Funeral Home

United for one last time, these are the coffins containing the remains of Brazilian footballers killed in the devastating Colombia air crash.

The bodies of Chapecoense players killed when the LaMia airline plane smashed into a mountain have been identified and are being embalmed and prepared for transport by military aircraft back to their homeland.

Heartbreaking pictures show the coffins laid out in the Colombian city's San Vicente Mortuary with chairs dressed in white left out for grieving friends and relatives.

The caskets are due to arrive in the club's home city of Chapeco as soon as midday on Friday and be taken directly to the club's stadium for a collective wake that Brazilian President Michel Temer is expected to attend.

You Are Becoming Tacky, Tasteless & The New Madonna, Piers Morgan Tells Mariah Carey (It’s A Must Read)

Mariah Carey once kept me waiting all day.
I can remember it now: every single one of the long, tedious, 12 hours that I was held virtual hostage in my dressing room while Her Majesty played up like a tantrum-prone toddler who’d had her pacifier removed.

She’d been booked to do a two-minute performance on America’s Got Talent, but refused to sing live.

So the judges, including me and Sharon Osbourne, were hauled in on our day off just so she could pre-tape her song.
We arrived at midday.

By 6pm, Mariah still wasn’t ready, so the 2000-strong audience was sent home, and an entirely new one was bused in.

Police Free 11 Hostages As Man Robs Bank For Two Hours

A hostage situation at a Jacksonville, Florida bank has ended with all 11 hostages freed and the suspect in custody - despite a tense two-hour stand-off that saw hostages repeatedly threatened with death, police said.

At around 9am an unidentified man entered the Community First Credit Union on West Edgewood Avenue with a dog and handgun and held the place up, cops said.

Police and SWAT teams descended on the bank, where the suspect put his gun to the heads of victims and threatened to kill them 'multiple' times, authorities said.

Sheriff Mike Williams initially wrongly identified the suspect - described as a black male in his 20s or 30s - as DeAndre Shuman.

The Sheriff's Office later confirmed that Shuman was innocent, and said they were working to identify the actual robber.

Mall Of America Introduces Black Santa For The First Time

A black Santa Claus has made the trek from the North Pole to the biggest mall in America for the first time ever this Christmas.
Larry Jefferson will spend four days bringing cheer to children at the Mall of America in Minnesota, becoming the first Santa of color to take part in the seasonal celebrations.

Santa Larry traveled to Minneapolis - presumably by reindeer-drawn sleigh - to take part in the massive event. But despite the extra attention he receives, Larry says he is just another of Santa's many helpers.

'It’s no big deal, I’m still Santa, I just happen to be a Santa of Color.'
