Plane carrying Brazillian players ran out of fuel before crashing
The plane that crashed in Colombia’s Medellin killing 71 people on board including members of the Brazilian football team, Chapecoense, ran out of fuel moments before it crashed on Tuesday November 29th. This is according to a leaked audio recording of the pilot’s final communications with the control tower.
The pilot was heard repeatedly requesting permission to land, saying that the plane had suffered “total electrical failure, without fuel.”
A co-pilot of an Avianca plane flying nearby at the time also said he overheard the LaMia 933 plane reporting it was out of fuel, calling “mayday” and asking the control tower to direct it to the runway.
Main cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained by Brazilian investigators. Only six of the 77 people on board survived the crash.
Shocking: "Sack CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele in 14 days" Arewa Lawyers tell President Buhari
Young lawyers from the North under the aegis of Arewa Young Lawyers Forum (AYLF), have called on President Buhari to sack CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, within 14 days or they would take action against the Federal government. The lawyers in a press release signed by their President, Abubakar Sadiq Ilelah, said they were worried by Emefiele's “lackadaisical style of management” which according to them has thrown the economy into recession.
Their press release in part reads “Mr Emefiele is rated low in the performance index compared to his predecessors. He has drastically failed in promoting monetary policies to stem the continuous free fall of the Naira, halt the rising debt profile of Nigeria and poor management of the country’s foreign exchange.
We are hereby giving President Buhari 14 days ultimatum to take action that will save the Nigerian economy by disengaging and removing Mr Emefiele as the governor of CBN.”

Tom Ford says he turned down offers to dress Melania Trump years ago and is still not interested in dressing her
Iconic designer, Tom Ford was quizzed by the host of ABC talk sow 'The View', on whether he'll like to dress Melania Trump and his reply was unequivocally negative.
'We've got a new first lady, Melania Trump, and she's quite beautiful, and she's thin, she's gonna look great in [your] clothes, no?' host Joy Behar asked Ford at the top of the interview.
A hesitant looking Ford paused for a moment before responding to the question, saying:
'I don't know. I was asked to dress her quite a few years ago and I declined.'
He then explained his reason for passing on the offer by stating:
'Well, she's not necessarily my image.'
He revealed that he would also not be dressing Melania while she was in the White House, saying his clothes are 'too expensive' for a first lady to wear because they have to 'relate to everybody.'
Despite his stance, the designer dressed Michelle Obama in a custom-made ivory evening gown back in 2011 for a dinner with the royal family at Buckingham Palace. The price of the one-of-a-kind dress was not stated but Ford's gowns tend to start around $5,000.
'Michelle I dressed once when she was going to Buckingham Palace for dinner with the Queen. I thought that was appropriate and I was honored.', ' said Ford when asked to comment on some of Michelle's more expensive looks.
When prodded a bit more about whether Melania should really stop wearing expensive clothes once her husband takes office, Ford simply said:
'I’ll leave that to Melania.'
He also made a point of noting that he would not dress Hillary Clinton if she was in the White House.
