10 players including Neymar, Messi & Hal Robson-Kanu nominated for FIFA Puskas Award


FIFA, fresh from ending its partnership with France Football, on Monday evening made the Puskas award more competitive, listing out ten players for the prestigious award which rewards the best goal in the last one year.

Nominees include Lionel Messi who has been nominated for a curling, left-footed free kick in a Copa America Centenario semi-final game in June while Neymar was nominated for volleying a right-footed shot from his own looping flick for Barcelona against Villarreal.

Residents of Kiamuguongo Village in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County have been left in shock after a 26-year-old  woman confessed to sacrificing her 8-year-old son for money. According to officer at Baricho Police Station, the confessed to sacrificing her son after receiving KSH20,000 from devil worshippers in Nairobi's South area. The woman said that the cult leader had given her an option of killing her mother or son.
Kirinyaga West OCPD, Mohammed Huka, who confirmed the incident said police arrested the suspect Wednesday, November 16th, after receiving a tip off from villagers that the woman had killed her son.

The first teaser trailer for E!'s Rob & Chyna Baby Special debuted Sunday. In the clip Rob Kardashian was seen talking to his oldest sister's baby Daddy, Scott Disick, he told Soctt that Blac Chyna's mum, Ms Tokyo Toni, was a loose Cannon when Scott asked him a question about Tokyo. Blac Chyna's mom saw the clip and was very upset.

Governor Rochas Okorocha commends Orji Kalu's defection to APC, calls on South-East leaders to follow his footstep


Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has described the entry of the former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu into the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a very good development, not only for the APC as a political party but also for the South-East as a people.

The governor regretted that he was shouting on top of his voice for the Igbos especially the political leaders in the South-East geo-political zone to join APC, but he was not only blackmailed but was called all kinds of names, and that today, it has become obvious that he was not wasting his time.
The governor explained that with men like Orji Uzor Kalu joining him in APC, they would develop Igbo land under APC as the ruling party, and noted that, Orji Kalu as an illustrious Igbo son is a political asset any political party would like to have in its fold.

Woman who beat up new born baby in viral video identified and arrested by the Police


Remember the video of a 'Nanny' that was caught viciously slapping a newborn baby that went viral last week?Turns, out she wasn't the nanny but the baby's own, biological mother and she has since been identified and arrested by the Police.
The sickening footage showed the woman repeatedly slapping the crying newborn baby several times.
Police say the mother, identified as Aygul Kozhabaevna was captured and arrested in Central Asian Republic of Uzbekistan.
The video was recorded in the South Kazakhstan city of Almaty in August this year, but was only  shared online recently.

Six members of a family, who were killed when a taxi crashed into the back of a truck, on Saturday, November 19th, near Hammanskraa, South Africa, have been laid to rest.
However,that wasn't the only tragedy. The Izinyoka's family lost a 10- year old relative last Wednesday. Jimmy Tshabalala touched an electricity cable at their home in Damonsville and was electrocuted to death. The boy was buried on Friday. A cousin, Eliot Tshabalala, told Daily Sun he was supposed to be in the taxi but he didn’t go. 
"I couldn’t believe it when I received the news that my sisters and brothers died," he said. "We are still in shock. This is so painful."

Isaac Sekav Ahungwa who rode on a bicycle from Ibadan, Oyo State to Makurdi after completing his National Youth Service, has been offered automatic employment by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State. Ortom announced this Monday when he received Ahungwa at the state government house in Makurdi.
He described the young man as a determined son of the state whose example should be emulated by others.
