Husband bites off wife’s nose because she couldn’t pay his expensive dowry in India (graphic photo)



A violent husband bit off his wife's nose after she refused to pay his expensive dowry and moved out of their home. According to reports, Raj Kumari and her husband Shiv Prasad got married two years ago but separated last year, following his continuous luxury dowry demand of £1,800 and brand new motorbike.

The 21 year old lady, who moved to her parent’s house in Lakhimpur after separating from her 23 year old husband, claims that the shocking incident took place on her way to school on Tuesday, when he ran towards her and grabbed her before biting off her nose after failed attempts to bring her back home.

Police arraigns painter who absconded with his customer's N1m mistakenly transferred to his account in Lagos


The police in Lagos today arraigned a 22 year old car painter, Taiye Obakoya, before Mrs J. O. Adepoju of the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, for absconding with one of his customers, Dada Emmanuel's N1 million mistakenly transferred to his account on October 20th. Obakoya who resides at No. 26 Awolowo Street, Oworosoki, Lagos, absconded the money and was arrested after spending N150,000 from the money.
Prosecuting Sergeant Nicholas Akpene told the court that Dada Emmanuel had employed the services of Obakoya and asked for an account number to pay him his money after he completed his painting job. Dada while trying to credit the account, mistakenly did a mobile phone money transfer of N1m from his bank account to the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) account of Obakoya.

In a Facebook post titled: 'Please everyone kindly share till help comes and this man is disgraced and known for his evil!' - Irene Amos Abbot narrated how former national chairman of ALGON and the guber candidate of Progressive People's Alliance (PPA) in Abia State, Chief Chikwe Udensi has been physically abusing his wife, Chidimma Udensi. She alleged that the politician is threatening to kill her aunt and take away her children. 
Mrs Udensi, a graduate of Communication Science is the Finance Director of Sheiks and Bishops Ltd and Director, Continental Healthcare Ltd and several other organizations. Read the post below:

Judge orders Chris Brown's female stalker to stay away from the singer's home & shows for 5 years

A Judge has ordered Chris Brown's obsessed stalker, Danielle Patti to stay away from the singer, his home and shows for the next 5 years. Patti has repeatedly been arrested for showing up uninvited at his house and had to undergo a mental evaluation after her last arrest.
"Danielle Patti must stay away from Breezy, his home and his shows for 5 years ... according to the judge's order. Patti's not a high risk right now --
 she's currently in a mental hospital as a result of her last trespassing arrest at Chris' house," TMZ reports.

IGP set up special panel to investigate alleged abuses at IDPs camps reported by Human Right Watch

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim k. Idris has set up a Special dedicated Investigation Team to immediately commence thorough Investigation into all cases of alleged sexual abuses, exploitation, harassments, gender based violence and professional misconduct on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in some of North-eastern States contained in a report published by the Human Right Watch against Camp officials, vigilante groups, Soldiers and Policemen among others.

A Press release signed by Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Don Awunah said the IGP who is irrevocably committed to the protection of all Nigerians most especially vulnerable group such as Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) has expressed deep concern over the submissions in the report and has directed the Special Investigation Panel to carry out a discreet and unbiased investigation into all the cases of abuse and misconduct alleged in the report.

The EFCC on Monday October 31st, arrested a self-acclaimed building engineer, Abdullahi Rilwan, for offences bordering on operating a land racketeering syndicate, criminal conspiracy, unlawful possession of classified documents, obtaining by false pretense and money laundering.

Operatives of the EFCC had as part of investigation into the $2.1billion arms procurement fraud, visited the Kuje Area Council, Abuja. The visit was in connection with several properties in the area, suspected to be proceeds of money laundering. In the course of investigating the ownership of a filling station and a shopping complex both still under construction located along Pegi Road, in the Kuje Area Council, operatives gathered that Rilwan was in charge of the construction work. 

Rilwan, who was subsequently engaged, denied ownership of the station, but confirmed he was the engineer in charge of the construction work. He admitted to being the owner of the shopping complex. He also told operatives that he was the owner of two companies, Kaibo Oil and Gas and Kaibo Properties, but could not account for the source of wealth.

 Doctors at the Kenyatta Hospital on Wednesday morning November 3rd, successfully separated conjoined twins in the first ever surgery of its kind on the continent.
A team of 50 medical specialists separated the twin girls, Favour and Blessing, whose lower backs were fused, in an operation that took 23 hours and concluded at 5am on Wednesday morning after a two year hospital stay.
The twins are currently admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital but KNH Acting Chief Executive Officer Thomas Mutie, told reporters that they are expected to make a full recovery.
“It is the first time in Sub-Saharan Africa, outside South Africa where this kind of operation has been done successfully. So this fete is a statement to the world ‘in KNH and in Kenya, we can do what other people can do."
