Baby killed and mum injured after plunging 6 storeys when faulty lift wasn’t there when the doors opened

A six-week-old- baby girl has died after her mum pushed her pram into a lift when the doors opened and the lift wasn’t there The two fell down the left and as they both landed on the roof of the lift, the mother’s weight crushed her infant daughter to death.
The lift car – which was stuck around 8ft below, between the 22nd and 23rd floors – then plunged 6 storeys before stopping. The tragic accident happened at a high-rise riddled with violations, including 45 directly related to the lifts.

The 21 year old mother, Aberaqed Al-Rabah, told investigators that she didn’t notice that the elevator car wasn’t there when the doors opened — and just pushed the buggy containing 6-week-old Areej Ali into the open space, police sources said.

Reuben Abati's 'spiritual side of the Villa', Buhari's 'Kitchen wife' and the curse and pain of Power- Femi Fani Kayode

This is an article written by Femi Fani Kayode. Please read on.
I read Reuben Abati's excellent write-up titled "The Spiritual Side Of Aso Villa" and I concur with his submissions. I worked in the Villa for three years as President Olusegun Obasanjo's spokesman on public affairs and a lot of very strange things happened there.

Amongst them is the fact that the two people that served as Senior Special Assistant to President Obasanjo on Media and Publicity one after the other, namely the much-loved Mr. Tunji Oseni and then later Mrs. Remi Oyo, both contracted a terrible terminal illness whilst in office and died a few years later.
Apart from that many other aides that worked in the Villa at that time were also afflicted with strange diseases and a sudden and tragic end.

Amongst them were Col. Solomon Giwa Amu, Obasanjo's hard-working and good-looking ADC and Mr. Stanley Macebuh, his brilliant and cerebral Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications.

I was so moved by Abati's piece that I decided to share the following thoughts about the spiritual challenges that those in power have faced.

MediaTakeOut issues a public apology to Kim Kardashian for saying the Paris robbery incident was fake

After MediaTakeOut accused Kim Kardashian of faking the Paris robbery in several articles, Kim Kardashian and her legal team filed a libel lawsuit against them.

Yesterday Friday Oct. 14th, MediaTakeOut.com posted an apology letter online to Kim saying the robbery did really happen. The site's founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, acknowledged that their reporting went too far. See the apology after the cut...

"Our number one goal is to produce the most accurate information as quickly as possible and we did that," Mwangaguhunga said.
"But now, looking back at it, you have a chance often times to look back and reflect on what it is that happened. It's now clear that she was robbed. It's clear that the reporting that we did hurt her, and we certainly don't want that to be what we do."
