Woman Stabs Pregnant Teen To Death, Opens Her Stomach Just To Steal Her Unborn Child


A delusional knife woman has stabbed an eight-month pregnant teenager to death before hacking open her stomach and pulling the unborn foetus from her womb, it is claimed.

Mirian Siqueria allegedly killed the baby during a horrifying attempt to steal 15-year-old Valissia Fernandes de Jesus’ child. The 25-year-old then dumped the dead foetus in a bathtub next to a bin before going on the run, police say.

Mirian’s husband Mateus found the teenager’s body inside a barrel in the couple’s back garden in Pitangueiras in the state of Sao Paulo.

Suspect Siquiera, who sold baby products, had told friends and family she was pregnant and met the murdered teenager at a photographic studio which was taking pictures of mums-to-be. She had invited Valissia round to her house on the pretext of showing her some baby shoes.

Cristiano Ronaldo wins Champions League best player award

Footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2015/2016  best player in the Champions League award as voted by Spanish and Italian sports papers MARCA and Gazzetta Dello Sport after scoring 16 goals ( 51 in all competitions) to help Real Madrid claim an 11th European Cup/Champions League title, which together with his country's triumph at Euro 2016 also makes him the number one favourite to reclaim the Ballon d'Or.
 
'I've won the Champions League and the Euros, it's a beautiful moment in my career and my sporting life,' Ronaldo said at the AC Hotel La Finca in Madrid.

Kidnapped Romanian Engineer, others released


The Romanian Engineer,  Nedeclu Christian and two Nigerians who were abducted by gunmen last Sunday at Railway Village in Owa-Oyibo, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State have been released after about 72 hours in the custody of their abductors

The victims are staff members of Julius Berger who were working at a construction site at Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area of the state.

The State's police spokesperson SP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed their release, said the victims were freed as a result of pressure on the abductors by security operatives.

Kalu stated that the victims were released at about 5:30pm when security operatives combing the bushes were already closing-in on the bandits’ hideout.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone C, Owerri has recorded a total of two hundred and thirty-one (231) seizures of contraband goods with an overall Duty Paid Value (DPV) of one billion, nine hundred and fifty-seven million, five hundred and twenty nine thousand, three hundred and seventy-five naira (N 1,957,529,375.00) in the third quarter of the year 2016.
This is in contrast to the three hundred and seventy-nine (379) seizures with a DPV of two billion, two hundred and twenty-four million, two hundred and forty-five thousand, seven hundred and ninety-seven Naira (N2,224,245,797.00) impounded in the year 2015.

While briefing newsmen, Comptroller Haruna Mamudu, said twenty-two suspects were arrested in connection with the seizures which were impounded on the Benin axis, Asaba-Agbor-Onitsha express way, Calabar, Enugu, Owerri and Port-Harcourt axis of the South-south and South -East zones of the federation. 

Family of businessman, Goodie Ibru declared wanted by EFFC says he's in the UK for medical treatment

The family of businessman Mr Goodie Ibru, has reacted to by the announcement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), declaring him wanted over allegation of capital market fraud, money laundering and diversion of funds.
 
The anti-graft agency's Head of Media and Publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement explained that Mr Ibru diverted billions of naira and assets of Ikeja Hotels Plc, owners of Sheraton Hotel, Federal Palace Hotel and Capital Hotel; owner of Sheraton Hotel Abuja to his personal benefit.
 
In a statement obtained by Channels TV on Thursday, the family described the EFCC’s action as scandalous, misleading and unfortunate and created the impression that Mr Ibru was on the run.
They added that the businessman had earlier responded to the agency’s invitation for an interview on July 25.
 
The family explained further that he was in the United Kingdom for medical treatment, but promised to honour the invitation on his return in the first week of November. They described the allegation leveled on him by the EFCC as an indication of bias into an investigation of an issue that borders primarily on family misunderstanding, which they said the anti-graft agency was fully aware of.

Russia 2018 Qualifier: Getting the World cup ticket will be difficult - Gernot Rohr

Super Eagles chief technical adviser Gernot Rohr has reiterated to Nigerians that getting the world cup ticket will be difficult , but has called on the crowd at the International stadium, Uyo to give the Nigeria team maximum support when Nigeria tackles Algeria next month in it's second World Cup qualifier.

Algeria are seen as favorites in the group tagged 'group of death' but drew their first game against Cameroon while Nigeria won theirs away against Zambia.

Abia State police, parades member of a three-man-gang who raped a 65-year-old woman to death


Abia State police officers have paraded 24 suspected criminals in Umuahia, one of them a 24-year-old commercial tricyclist identified as Samuel believed to be among the three-man gang that robbed, raped and killed a 65-year old grandmother at Ofeme, the Sun reports. The incident happened on October 8th at about 9pm.


While parading the suspect at the state command in Umuahia, the state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, said that the victim, Anthonia Dike, was returning from a business trip at Jos, when the three hoodlums, who rode on a motorbike, trailed the commercial bus she was traveling in from Okigwe, Imo State to a point along the Ofeme axis of the express road. 

They double-crossed the bus and ordered the passengers out of the bus. The robbers then dragged the passengers into a nearby bush, dispossessed them of their wares, cash and other valuables, separated the men from women and had sex with the female passengers. Oyebade said the suspects took turns to rape the 65-year- old grandmother.
